"Note that there is no land-cover change related to (anthropogenic) land use because the vegetation distributions evolve according to the model-simulated climate, and the areal fraction of non-vegetated regions (lake, wetland, glacier and urban) are fixed according to the Global Land Cover Characterization (GLCC) Database. Therefore, changes in physical and biogeochemical properties of the vegetation due to actual land-cover changes are excluded by design."
