Land Evapotranspiration

Evapotranspiration is defined as the combination of evaporation and transpiration. Evapotranspiration from the land portion of the basin is a contributing factor for runoff into the lakes. Assuming all other variables affecting runoff remain constant, an increase in evapotranspiration from the land would result in a decrease in runoff into the lakes, and vice versa.
